Youth Camp – January 2019

Boot Camp

Thanks very much for your prayers and support to our Youth camp 2019, we had 94 youths from 15 high schools. Our Boot camp was so educative to youths. In the above picture of a young girl holding the rope, that rope stands for Jesus Christ; in life, as we walk in life we need every second to hold on Him no matter how hard the journey is. The picture of tires (below) trained young people to work together as a team and to fight the spirit of fear.  The first day most of them were fearing to go through these tires, but when we (leaders) kept telling them how easy it is to go through, the second day they were able to go through the tires and they overcame fear. The Youth camp had a lot of activities which we cannot share all at once here in one News letter, so we shall be sharing part by part during these remaining 14 days of Jan 2019.

Hands-on Skill Training

The current population of Uganda is almost 45 million and 77% are young people who are facing a big problem of unemployment, so during our youth camp we introduced “Hands-on Skills Training ” and Youths were trained on how to make Exercise books and make Fabric book covers. Most of them were so attentive and active to learn. The exercise book making is going to help them save money as they will be making their own exercise books to be used during the school term and also they make extra and sell to other students in their communities during this holiday period.

We want to pass our thanks to Reformation Hope Church in WI, Dr Mac Pier, Founder (movement.org), Daniel Jacobson,  Pam Caylor, David Bielecki, Daniel Castle, Charmaine de Jonge, Andy Burton and Chuck Klein for your special donations made towards the youth camp , without your donations those young people wouldn’t have received the hands-on skill training. Now their parents are so happy because of the training as the parents are only going to buy materials for making exercise Books which are on low costs.

The Youth camp had a lot of activities which we cannot share all once here in one News letter, so we shall be sharing part by part during these remaining 6 days of Jan 2019.
