2014 In Review

FHM Ministry Updates, Newsletter

This past year (2014) we have had the joy of impacting 100’s of lives, in the Name of Jesus.  While meeting physical and spiritual needs in India and Pakistan, we are seeing a harvest of new believers.

The Asian teachers project has supported 6 teachers in 6 remote villages all year with an average of 8 new believers baptized a month and one month there were 27 new converts to Jesus, the children are getting an education in the basics with the Truth of God’s Word at the core of this wonderful experience resulting in the many new souls in the Kingdom of God. In the last 2 1/2 years the pastor that heads this project has baptized 245 people and planted 24 churches and planted 6 house churches in the remote villages.

Gentle Hearts Children’s Home in Nepal is currently caring for 20 children which is a large increase from last year.

The Mambatagan Feeding Project in the Philippines has now become a new church planting and in Dumaguete region many new churches have been planted through the tireless work of Benito and June Pacleb.  Also in the Philippines, Anita Escobar and her family in Davao Del Norte are making a huge impact on the families there.  The education sponsorship program for these very poor children has expanded to include 6 children being helped this year with an education, 2 of which had both their mother and younger sister die this year.

ALYF in Uganda, directed by Richard Sempala is going strong, meeting the young people where they are and educating them about the sanctity of human life and saving a multitude of baby’s lives in the process.  Their child sponsorship program has also grown, so we have 12 children with sponsors now for their education and some other necessities.

In Ghana, we were blessed to be instrumental in the opening of a new school for underprivileged children in the Ashanti region, which is helping 23 children already. In addition, we are helping two indigenous pastors there.

We’ve also been able to offer minister’s assistance to indigenous church planters and ministers in Indonesia, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Kenya, Mongolia, Myanmar, and Tanzania where two wonderful schools for poor children are being used as amazing mission fields with a ripe harvest even among the Muslim families who want their children to have an education.

From our base in the USA, we have reached out to those in need of winter boots and health and nutrition assistance.  As you can see, this year has been another exciting one for us: Due to the six remote village schools in Asia, with a majority of the villagers surrendering their lives to Christ, several new churches have been established; more children have been rescued from their hopeless situations in Nepal, India, Ghana, Uganda,  Philippines and other countries. The awesome work of ALYF in Uganda is reaching literally thousands of young people and countless people are coming to know Jesus.  We’ve also helped several times this year with disaster relief in the Philippines. All this has been accomplished due to our gracious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Without His guidance, wisdom, and especially, His provision (through our precious donors); this would not be possible.
