We received the following from our overseer in India:
Dear Mr. & Mrs. Furman,
Greetings in Jesus’ Name!
This is to introduce…..Sajani Singha (who’s picture is above); she has been suffering with her leg, almost damaged and doctors said to remove the leg. But one doctor told them that if she can be taken to Kolkotta, she can have a better treatment avoid removing the leg.
The story behind her leg problem is, she met with an accident at the age of 3, family was poor, could not give her a good treatment. the wound inside has become chronic and infected all around her leg. If delayed long, it can even turn to Cancer, doctors said.
Now next week they are taking Sajani to Kolkotta for treatment…
Please pray and see if we as LAF can do anything about her… We may not meet all the expenses but at least to some part of the treatment if we can help. That would be appreciated a lot.

UPDATE FROM BROTHER PETER 4/6/15
The doctors did all the could, but could not save Sajani’s leg. They had to amputate just below the knee. However, she is in the process of being fitted with the very best prosthetic available; followed by physical therapy. The surgery, prosthetic leg, and physical therapy are all possible due to a very kind, gracious, and generous donor.

And our beloved Donors, who helped Sajani Snigdha towards her leg infection.

Today I spoke to Sajani for the first time, though I don’t understand her language very clearly but understood most of it. After the removal of her leg, the remaining part of her leg was not cured, the care takers have spent a lot of money and many donors have come up to help her situation. Today I even spoke to her care taker Mrs. Shova, she said that Sajani is in her last stage of Cancer!! That shocked me for a while! She said the money we have sent was used for her treatment and it even did cost quite a lot, finally doctors said it’s beyond their capacity. Many pastors and believers have been praying for her, I even called up a well known Pastor in their place to visit her and pray for her. Sajani says only God can do something in her life, she got fed up with medicines and treatments.
Please uphold her in your prayers!!

Sorry to inform you that Sajani is No more here. She went to be with the Lord yesterday! Her care taker Shova had called me up yesterday and informed me. Please pray for her family. Please Inform the donor too.
We have a hope that we will surely see her in Heaven when we get there…

P.S. Before Sajani’s passing, she was able to minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ to her parents. Now they too are believers–praise the Lord!!
